Looks pretty bomb to me. Now how does this taste without the cream cheese and is there a substitute?

it’ll be just as good without the cream cheese. The cream cheese compliments the smoked salmon as you can see if you ever had a Philadelphia roll. My best bet would be no substitute and just leave it out. The cream cheese is rather small and any other bigger substitute might cause the roll to not be able to roll due to the size of the shrimp tempura unless you use one shrimp tempura and roll the rice patty long ways then you can throw any thing you want inside. Doing it this way you’ll end up with around 5 pieces large pieces instead of 8 regular ones. It all comes down to preferences on how you like your roll. At this point you can add about 3 or 4 more items inside.
